‘A Reflection of Us: A Story of Mentorship and Connection’ by Jameel Radcliffe

Explore Jameel Radcliffe's collection of portraits depicting influential people in Jameel’s life, including past and present AFH community members. With this collection of works, Radcliffe continues to explore the boundaries of artistic expression, drawing inspiration from his Boston roots and the dynamic interplay of identity and community.

Jameel is also an AFH alum, current Painting Studio mentor and featured multiple times in The Boston Globe and in Art New England for his work. His previous solo and group shows include “Kids From the Stars” at Show Up, “Bird Stories” at Concord Art, “Black Futures” at Hallspace Gallery and “Obsessed With” at The Flowering Rock. Jameel’s accolades include receiving the ‘Saint Botolph Club Emerging Artist’ and ‘WBUR Makers’ awards in 2024.

Join our teens as early as 4:00pm to hear Jameel’s Artist Talk. You’ll also have the opportunity to tour our seven visual arts studios, speak to teens and mentors and watch the program in action. This event is free and open to the public! Be inspired, enjoy refreshments, and network—all in one night!
